Cleaning up La Cienega

The Ladera Heights Civic Association, Ladera Heights Farmers Market, and Ran Craycraft hosted the first Ladera Clean-Up Day Sept. 5. More than 40 community volunteers participated in the cleanup along La Cienega Boulevard and adjacent side streets, picking up litter on the streets and sidewalks. L.A. County sheriff’s deputies were in attendance, as were workers from the L.A. County Department of Public Works who trimmed trees and hauled away about 50 bags of trash. Regular clean ups in Ladera Heights take place from 8 to 10 a.m. the first Saturday of the month.
