‘Should schools reopen in August under current conditions?’

“Absolutely not. I don’t have children of my own, but I would personally be very afraid for the safety of my child knowing how uncontained the virus is and how few federal regulations and instructions have been put in place to ensure the safety of everybody’s children.”

Michael P.

Los Angeles

“No I don’t. I think it’s too soon. The spikes are extremely high right now. I don’t see how anyone can approve that when the numbers are … going up.”

“No. I don’t think they should go back to school, unfortunately. I have a 6 year old that I want to go back to school, but I don’t think it’s safe. They just have to shut down and get it right the second time, hopefully.”

I have grandchildren and I would not be comfortable with them going back. Even though they say kids don’t get that sick, they could still bring it home and infect my daughter or someone else.”
