As California nears 1 million confirmed cases, health officials throughout the state are urging people quarantine after spending time with people outside their households. — FOX San Francisco
Eleven counties regressed into a more restrictive tier in the state’s reopening system, including San Diego, Sacramento and Stanislaus counties. This was the first week that no counties moved into a less restrictive tier, according to California Health and Human Services Secretary Mark Ghaly. — Los Angeles Times

An undisclosed number of employees at Disney’s Anaheim amusement park face furloughs, the company confirmed yesterday, as COVID-19 restrictions have prevented them from welcoming guests since March. The furloughs will impact executive, salaried and hourly employees, according to a letter from Disneyland President Ken Potrock. — CBS Los Angeles

USC’s women’s basketball team is in quarantine after a player tested positive for the coronavirus. According to the university, the decision to quarantine the team followed a consultation with the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health. — NBC Los Angeles
