Actor and television host Mario Loepz celebrates his 51st birthday Oct. 10 by receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Lopez played A.C. Slater in ‘Saved by the Bell’ before becoming the host of entertainment shows ‘Extra’ and ‘Access Hollywood.’

Ex-student paints murals on doors at Pioneer High

Pioneer High School class of 2012 graduate Domingo Perez admires a classroom mural he painted, depicting Mexican history and folklore. Perez’s portraits and artistic flourishes adorn nearly a dozen classroom doors at Pioneer, part of an ongoing project that began when Perez was still a Pioneer student painting his friend’s backpacks for fun.
