Following the tragic death of her husband Bailey, a young widow relocates to the hometown of her mother-in-law to start a new life. An unexpected romance awaits her and through the Holy Spirit’s divine guidance, Bailey finds herself on a journey through the tragedy of her past in order to triumph in her present.
That’s the basis for “From Tragedy to Triumph: Every Journey of Love Has Its Own Story of Faith” by Rashawna M. Taylor.
This is the author’s first book and it was inspired by her passion to spread the stories of the Bible in a way that would reach broader audiences, especially the younger generations.
“This is my ministry,” Taylor said. “My books are my studies, lessons learned from God, personal messages and sermons offered to the world.
“For some, reading, understanding and being interested in the Bible can be a little difficult, so I wanted to take my love for the word of God and re-create the stories within to be more fashionable to the current state of living.”
“From Tragedy to Triumph” is based on the book of Ruth. In the book, Bailey faces obstacles including doubt, fitting in, romantic relationships and more.
“From Tragedy to Triumph” is intended for persons of all backgrounds.
“Even though I am a Christian writer, my books are intended for anyone who wants to be spiritually inspired, fulfilled, enriched and entertained,” Taylor said.
She said she hopes her book proves to be moving for readers as they encounter valuable lessons concerning faith, love and perseverance.
“Through this novel I want my readers to gain a divine understanding of God’s blessed fundaments in regards to seeded faith, genuine love and his anointed presence in our life,” Taylor said.
“From Tragedy to Triumph” is the author’s first book. She’s currently working on her next book that will focus on friendship between women. It will be based on the biblical Book of Job.
