“The Fearless Factor @ Work: Your Essential Guide for Unlocking the Secrets to a Fearless Career and Life,” by Jacqueline Wales, is a book that will help elevate the lives of readers by equipping them with the necessary tools to make better decisions and discover strategies for success.

This is the second book in the Fearless Factor series.

“‘The Fearless Factor@Work’ was written after working with many people in corporate America and finding that they lack the skills and insights to make significant changes in their career and life,” Wales said.

The book addresses topics such as building trust, self-awareness, communication, leadership muscles, identifying values, being fearless and more. Wales uses personal narrative and shared stories throughout the book. Also, at the end of each chapter there are questions that are designed to get readers thinking.

For more than a decade, Wales has helped others understand how fear functions and what they can do to move beyond it.

“I like to say that being fearless is not the absence of fear but it’s the courage to take the next step,” she said.

“The Fearless Factor@Work” is intended for a millennial audience.

“I’ve worked with a lot of millennials over the years, and if we are to create great leaders, they first of all have to know themselves better,” Wales said. “This book is designed to give them the understanding they need for that.”

Wales would like readers to be moved to make changes in their lives.

“It’s my hope that people will gain a greater understanding of how to ask themselves deeper questions,” she said. “That they will take actions that were previously challenging, and they gain insights into how to think and act differently.”

In addition to being an author, Wales is an executive coach, teacher and facilitator for programs that help individuals, leaders and organizations become fearless leaders. She lives in Vallejo, Calif.
