Authors Bryant, Hamilton to hold conversation Sept. 9 at Malik Books

LOS ANGELES — Malik Books, in partnership with the Pan African Film Festival, will feature bestselling author, entrepreneur and economic empowerment leader John Hope Bryant in conversation with entrepreneur, investor and bestselling author Arlan Hamilton at 7 p.m. Sept. 9 at the Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Mall.
The event marks the release of Bryant’s new book, “Capitalism for All: Inclusive Economics and the Future-Proofing of America,” and will bring together two voices in business and entrepreneurship for an important conversation about expanding economic opportunity and building wealth in communities that have historically been excluded from it.
Bryant, founder, chairman and CEO of Operation HOPE, has spent decades advancing financial literacy, financial inclusion, entrepreneurship and economic empowerment. His latest book challenges America to rethink how capitalism can become more inclusive and create meaningful opportunities for more people to participate in the nation’s economic future.
Moderating the conversation will be Hamilton, an entrepreneur, investor and bestselling author who transformed her own experience of being underestimated into a groundbreaking career in venture capital.
Hamilton is widely recognized for championing entrepreneurs and founders who have historically been overlooked by traditional investment institutions.
Together, Bryant and Hamilton will explore some of the most pressing economic questions facing communities today:
How to create greater access to opportunity? How can financial literacy, entrepreneurship, investment and ownership become tools for building lasting and generational wealth? And how can capitalism work for more Americans — not simply a select few?
