“Finishing Touch: A Survivor’s Journey,” by Regina Latrice, is an inspiring book that describes the author’s life from childhood through her early 30s and all of the adversities faced during that period of time.
“I have been through many struggles,” Latrice said. “I was a victim of domestic violence, I was married with three children at a young age and as a result of the domestic violence and infidelity, I divorced.
“I tell the uncut truth in my book.”
This is the author’s first book and she said she was led by God to write about how she was freed from the toxic situation.
“I think many women are suffering in silence and they are afraid to share their story because of what others may think,” Latrice said. “They do not see their lives being in a state of freedom. I want to help them to know that God has a better plan for their life.”
Within the book, Latrice incorporates scriptures that correlate with the stories that she shares. Some of the main lessons address the importance of obeying God and the power of forgiveness.
“I hope that after people read my book they will find freedom, hope, joy, peace, and belief,” said the author. “I hope that readers will feel like they can conquer the world and win any battle they face.”
“Finishing Touch” may prove to be motivational for readers as they make steps to remove themselves from negative situations and step into their destinies, especially those who have battled domestic violence, divorce or have struggled with self-love and identity.
“It was important to write my book because I feel that it is important to share stories of victory,” Latrice said. “I feel like when you overcome obstacles you should let the world know; it gives other people hope and encouragement and I want to be a help to the world.”
