“Mindless Behaviors: Breaking Through Unseen Barriers,” by Beatrice Adenodi, is a thought-provoking book offering different takes on living life and approaching problems.

This is the author’s first book and it was inspired my humanity.

“My inspiration came from my lived experience, personal and professional relationship, and the social environment I walked within,” Adenodi said.

“Mindless Behaviors” is made up of seven different stories that shed light on negative cycles impacting the human condition like mask wearing, unrealistic expectations, seeking quick fixes, carrying baggage and more. Adenodi also includes reflective questions at the end of each section designed to help readers not only think differently about their situations but to also audit themselves.

“Sometimes the answer is already within you,” Adenodi said. “Within the problem there’s always a solution we’re just not really looking at it; we have to switch our lens.”

It was important for Adenodi to create a book that raises awareness on the impact of human behavior on one’s lived experiences.

“The social conditioning and habits that we inherit along the way keep us constantly reacting to our environment,” Adenodi said. “The goal is to raise awareness about these unhealthy patterns to break the cycle of reactivity that can sometimes lead to volatile behaviors and traumatic experiences.”

“Mindless Behaviors” will be enjoyed by readers seeking to gain another perspective about looking at life.

“They are collectors of life experiences, social catalysts to change and avid learners looking to understand life and the world,” the author said.

Adenodi hopes readers are positively impacted by her book.

“I hope the readers are better critical thinkers and have meaningful, reflective, uncomfortable conversations,” said Adenodi. “The change I would like to see is the audience questioning their perceptions of how one lives and beginning to become open in learning to have the uncomfortable conversations not usually vocalized.”

In addition to being an author, Adenodi is a business and marketing consultant specializing in strategy planning logistics. She is based in Minneapolis.
