“Facing Adversity Victoriously: Volume 2,” by Carolyn Coleman-Grady, is an inspiring 30-day devotional that offers readers a guiding light through the trials and tribulations of life that may test one’s faith and ultimately find their way to Jesus.
Coleman-Grady was inspired by the holy spirit to write this book from a biblical and practical perspective, aiming to encourage readers to embrace the hand of God amid obstacles that hinder spiritual growth.
“It was time to release others, and myself, through the act of repentance,” said the author. “I wanted God to transform my life and help me to become Christlike. Though my experiences may differ from others, our need for the Lord is the same. We cannot live life well without Jesus.”
“Facing Adversity Victoriously” is not just a personal testimony, but a clarion call for those struggling to break free from trauma, abuse, illness and other hardships. It was important for Coleman-Grady to remind believers that God remains in control, no matter what they are facing.
Within the book, Coleman-Grady includes reflective questions and scripture passages after each devotional, designed to encourage personal introspection and group discussions. There’s also a devotional that extends an invitation to receive Christ.
The book is intended for both believers and non-believers seeking a deeper understanding of faith. Coleman-Grady hopes readers have a supernatural encounter and movement of God in their lives while reading her book.
“As a writer and a vessel for God’s use, I pray that the reader participates in the reflection questions and spends quiet time seeking the Lord, boldly going to the throne of grace where we obtain mercy,” Coleman-Grady said.
The author is currently working on a third volume. Readers can expect to cultivate their inner beauty, strengthen their identity in Christ, and continue to reflect and pray.
In addition to being an author, Coleman-Grady is a registered nurse who actively supports the nonprofit she founded, the Health Agency Friend, Inc., which empowers seniors to thrive in their communities through education, community resources, and advocacy. She is based in Thousand Oaks. For more information about the author and her work, visit facingadversityvictoriously.com.
