“I Believe in Me: Do You Believe in You?,” by Christina Cewe, is an exciting new children’s book that helps young readers build a narrative of confidence.

It is a book of affirmations that helps to empower children by teaching them that anything they want to accomplish is possible, but in order to do that they must believe in their own ability to succeed,” Cewe said.

This is the author’s first book and it was inspired by her family.

“I wrote this originally as a poem for my firstborn son 14 years ago,” Cewe said. “I have used the message to build confidence in my three kids, and during COVID I had some extra down time to complete the book and self-publish.”

“I Believe in Me: Do You Believe in You” can be read to children daily. Each page focuses on a different affirmation, like running fast, becoming an astronaut or veterinarian, slaying monsters, being at the top of the class and more. There are also pictures inside the book, representing different ethnicities and cultures.

It was important for Cewe to create a book that would help affirm young readers.

“I think that it’s important, especially in these times, that we give children tools at a young age that are focused on teaching them that being themselves is the best,” the author said.

“I Believe in Me: Do You Believe in You?” is a fun read that can be enjoyed by readers ages 5 and younger, by parents and educators.

“I hope it inspires parents to focus on the importance of a strong narrative of belief in self and helps them to have conversations about fears, hopes, and dreams,” Cewe said. “Life will always bring challenges and change, but believing that you can overcome them and succeed in spite of them is the first step to facing them.”

In addition to being an author, Cewe has a musical background, including an appearance on “American Idol’s” first season. Based in Stuart, Fla., she works as a sales leader in the field of technology. For more information about the author and her work visit ibelieveinmedoyou.com.
