Darius Jettora, a Zentakki Vindicator, is a seasoned hunter fulfilling professional missions across hostile planets, akin to a space samurai. After discovering the Starfall prophecy, he must decipher the prophecy’s hidden code to prevent the galaxy’s destruction, relying on his skill, cunning and courage to defy fate.
So goes “Arkonus” by Jordan Broody.
“Arkonus” was inspired by Broody’s love for science fiction.
“I grew up on Star Wars and Star Trek, loving what creativity they brought to my childhood,” Broody said. “From there, I would constantly find myself creating my universes in my head and therefore put the pen to paper making it come to life.”
Broody describes it as a book filled with passion, grit and science fiction and a story that was important to produce.
“I wanted to fulfill my own prophecy and legacy to create something original for people to enjoy,” he said. “I don’t want this to be an untold story. I want it to be in the minds of readers trying to understand the lore for years to come.”
“Arkonus” will be enjoyed by readers who enjoy science fiction, fantasy and action films.
It’s the author’s hope that readers enjoy the adventure of “Arkonus” and feel as if they’ve watched a science fiction film.
“The lore, fantasy and epic science fiction drives the story of a dark struggle of the main character, Darius,” Broody said. “The past and future are connected through great striations in time, inside those pathways fate and inevitability lay.”
Broody’s favorite part of his book is the intertwined soundtrack of original music that was composed for the story. “I believe this gives it life in another way, an emotion that can’t be felt by reading but by listening to,” Broody said. “It conveys the passion the characters have for their overall goals and what it truly means to go against a dark adversity.”
Readers may listen to the soundtrack via arkonus.com.
“Arkonus” is the first in a three-book series.
In addition to being an author, Broody is a composer and works in the medical sales industry. He is based in Scranton, Pennsylvania.
