Valley Boulevard improvement project gets more funds

Lynwood students complete dual enrollment program

Migrant students complete summer program at L.A. Zoo

Students from the Los Angeles Unified School District’s Migrant Education admire student projects at the Los Angels Zoo July 17 at the Family Day event marking the end of the summer program. Participants met with animal care experts and learned about the conservation work being done by the zoo.

Federal funds to build bridge near East L.A. school

U.S. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg and Los Angeles County Supervisor Hilda Solis were among the dignitaries at Humphreys Avenue Elementary School July 19 to announce a $10 million federal grant to help build a pedestrian and bicycle crossing over the Long Beach (710) Freeway near the school. The grant will make it safer for students walking or riding bikes to the school.
