The GRAMMY Museum in downtown Los Angeles will host independent hip-hop artist Tech N9ne for an evening of conversation and live music on June 26. The event takes place one day before the release of Tech N9ne’s new album, 5816 Forest.
Organizers said the program will begin at 7:30 p.m. and will feature an interview with Tech N9ne, an audience Q&A, and a live performance. Journalist Justin Hunte will moderate the discussion, which will explore the artist’s career and the making of his upcoming album. Doors open at 7:00 p.m. and tickets are available through the museum’s website.
The GRAMMY Museum, a nonprofit organization located in downtown Los Angeles, is recognized for its public programming that brings musicians and fans together in an intimate setting. The Clive Davis Theater seats 200 and regularly hosts artist talks, performances and educational programs that highlight the diversity and history of music in Los Angeles and beyond.
Museum officials said the June 26 event is part of “The Drop,” a series that spotlights new music releases and provides fans with a behind-the-scenes look at the creative process. Tech N9ne, whose real name is Aaron Dontez Yates, is known for his long career as an independent hip-hop artist and as co-founder of Strange Music. His appearance at the museum will include a discussion of his new album, 5816 Forest, which is scheduled for release on June 27. Organizers noted that Tech N9ne has collaborated with artists from hip-hop, rock and pop, and his music has appeared on national charts for more than two decades.

Bags larger than 9 inches by 6 inches, memorabilia and gifts will not be allowed inside the venue. All tickets are will-call only and require a valid physical ID for check-in, organizers said.
