“StarLight When Our Love Becomes More,” by Ajia Munns, is a children’s book that tells the story of Flower and Star as they grow, face inner struggles, develop resilience and learn to accept themselves just as they are.

“I hope the reader gains wisdom in knowing they are not alone and all of life is here for them,” said the author.

The book was inspired by Munn’s imagination and personal growth as the themes in the book are themes she has learned throughout her life, such as love, growth and supporting others.

“As a child, I used to tell my little sister bed time stories every night before we slept, the floors could move and the sky could open up to new worlds,” Munns said. “I carried this storytelling ability throughout my life as a comfort to troubling times and as inspiration to what is possible.”

The author intended for her book to have a consistent growing audience.

“I want to leave my mark on the world, when I leave Earth I want to leave it better than I found it,” she said. “I heard the greatest contribution is to inspire; I personally have been inspired and there is no better way to give back than to inspire the next generation.”

“StarLight When Our Love Becomes More” is printed in both English and Spanish.

“I never want to have language be a barrier to my storytelling,” Munns said. “I knew I would be doing my first events in L.A., so I wanted to have the Spanish version available right away for the local Spanish-speaking community, rather than making them wait.”

In addition to being an author, Munns owns a production company and teaches mindfulness to students throughout Los Angeles. She is based in the Miracle Mile community of Los Angeles.
